Documents stay in your browser

To provide reading and export, we do not send P7M content, filenames, invoice fields or readable certificate data to our server. Orders do require some technical and payment metadata.

Local file processing

Your selected document is read into browser memory. Opening the P7M envelope, reading any XML invoice, displaying the document and generating outputs all take place there. The file is not stored on our servers.

The browser calculates a cryptographic file fingerprint. This identifies the content to associate it with a purchase, but does not contain a readable version of the document.

Data sent to the service

For operation, security and orders, we may process IP addresses, technical logs, a random guest session identifier, the file fingerprint, type and size band, order and Stripe identifiers, product, amount, currency, payment status and event dates. Usage statistics use predefined events and fields and must not include content, filenames, invoice fields or certificate data.

Payment with Stripe

Stripe handles payment on its checkout page. It receives the data needed for the transaction, including email and payment details, under its own privacy policy. We receive the identifiers and results needed to verify payment, handle refunds or disputes and make export available.

Retention and recipients

Order and tax data are retained as needed to provide the service, handle disputes and meet applicable obligations. Providers may include Stripe for payments, an SMTP provider for email and an infrastructure provider. Final retention periods and controller details must be completed before commercial launch.
